Our Mission
We work to ensure the health and safety of vulnerable children, widows and caretakers in selected global locations.
- We are concerned about the survival of these endangered ones.
- Our efforts are usually "emergency" efforts.
- We rely on gifted North Americans and Europeans to share their resources in coming to the rescue of the little ones.
Who are the "little ones"
- Children, the first to get hurt when things go wrong, often the last to eat.
- Girls and women, who often suffer violence, don't make it to school, are overworked and undervalued.
- Anyone who has been left out, left behind.
Goals
- Little ones enjoying healthier, happier lives
- Community leaders working together for the common good
- Western partners eager to understand and assist
- Everyone involved growing through service
Principles
- Focus on survival. Don't diffuse resources.
- Before undertaking a project, be sure to have support of local leaders and larger community.
- Confer and work with partners. Try not to tell others what to do.
- Avoid duplicating efforts. When appropriate, collaborate with other agencies.
- Rely on local partners to speak of God's love in the local language and in culturally meaningful ways.
- Be accountable to our Western partners. Assure them that their gifts go directly toward the survival of the little ones.
